I especially like this exchange between Bingley and Darcy in the first ball scene:
Bingley:
@Darcy I can hardly wait to dance with @JaneB. She is the most capital girl I have ever met. #loveat1stsight
Darcy:
@Bingley Any savage can dance. #proofofmysuperiority
Bingley:
@Darcy JaneB's sister, Lizzy is pretty. You could dance with her. It would be capital fun.
Darcy:
@Bingley She's tolerable, but she is not handsome enough to tempt me. Also: could you stop saying "capital" so much? #abovemypeers

How did you find this twitter version of the book? It's so great!
ReplyDeleteActually, my mom sent to me, so I'm not really sure. I should find out, though, because it is a really neat idea. The woman writing the blog doesn't post that frequently, she's just a regular person with an interest in the stuff she writes about, I guess.
ReplyDeleteI can ask my mom where she found it and let you know.
this is really adorable and clever. I hope the author gets a lot of recognition for it. This is kind of cool because it is an example of how social media allows talented and creative people to express themselves in a setting where they can be recognized. This is a rather good aspect of the internet in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, its weird that Pride and Prejudice has come into the spotlight recently. They did the movie with Kiera Knightly in 2005, and then that Pride and Prejudice and Zombie's book came out. Now this twitter account is setting the story against a world of tweets. Kinda quirky.

I learned about P&P on Twitter on the Janelicious site http://austenpride.com
